Description
What the GT-FH is good at
The steel rod arm construction handles outdoor exposure, impact and general abuse better than polycarbonate alternatives over time. Like all full-height turnstiles it enforces one person per authorised cycle mechanically, so there are no tailgating events to review and no sensor sensitivity to tune. The visual impression of a full-height steel turnstile is deliberately imposing, which is a genuine advantage for warehouses, depots, stadiums and industrial perimeters where that signal is appropriate. For entrances where a lighter visual impression matters more than maximum physical deterrence, a speed gate is worth considering instead. As with all full-height turnstiles, a separate accessible entrance is needed for wheelchair users, and the gate does not serve as a standalone fire-egress route.
Security
At 2200 mm the rotor arms make climbing over a deliberate and conspicuous act rather than a quick opportunistic one. The only realistic bypass methods are two people entering the same rotor sector simultaneously or credential sharing. Reverse-direction entry is mechanically blocked by the rotor locking mechanism. A manual override key allows the gate to be opened or closed directly without an electrical signal. On power loss or fire alarm the arms release automatically for free egress.
User experience
The hydraulic damper slows the rotor smoothly at the end of each stroke, which keeps operation noticeably quieter than undamped designs. Throughput of 35 to 40 persons per minute handles most facility entrance volumes without queuing. LED indicators show passage status on both sides of the gate.
Integration & customisation
Connects to any access control system over dry contact or RS485. Reader cutouts configurable for biometric, RFID, QR, face recognition and fingerprint modules. Frame finish can be colour coded to match the installation environment. Rain cover included as standard.
Durability & environment
Rated for indoor and outdoor use, -15 to +60 degrees Celsius, covering all Northern European outdoor conditions year-round. At 150 kg the unit is stable under wind load and impact without additional anchoring beyond the standard floor fixing. Full-height turnstiles have a mechanically simple design with very few moving parts that wear out, which is the main reason they reach high cycle counts without significant maintenance. 10-million-cycle mechanical service life.
