Architectural optical turnstile for premium lobbies
Some entrances are functional. Yours doesn't have to be.
The Denia turns access control into an architectural statement — full-height glass, monolithic pylons, no visible cables.
Specified by the architects designing the world's most demanding lobbies.
Description
Engineering & core technology
Behind the architectural finish sits a serious engineering platform — the same components used in our high-end commercial installations. Brushless DC servo drive with closed-loop position feedback gives smooth, quiet wing motion and millimetre-accurate stop positions. Six-pair optical sensor array tracks every passage and provides reliable tailgating detection without false alarms. 0.6-second open-to-closed cycle supports up to 45 people/min in fully controlled bidirectional mode. Reinforced steel chassis with internal stiffening keeps the pylons perfectly aligned for years of public use. 5 million-cycle service life with sealed bearings and an industrial servo drive.
Advanced security & anti-tailgating
Denia is built for environments where security must be invisible — tight, but never intrusive. Tailgating detection closes the wings the instant a paid user passes, blocking followers and triggering a system event. Reverse-flow detection prevents wrong-direction passages and logs every attempt. Anti-passback support integrates with your access-control to stop card sharing. Child detection logic distinguishes accompanying minors from a second adult attempting to slip through. Tamper switches on glass wings and top cover protect the internal mechanism.
User experience & flow
Denia's flow design comes from architects who watched real members navigate real entrances at peak hours. Up to 45 people/min in bidirectional controlled mode — enough for any boutique studio or premium club. Long, low-profile lane geometry lets users present credentials and pass without slowing down. Discreet LED arrows at the top of each pylon guide users with calm, consistent feedback. Soft-touch wing motion at less than 35 dB — appropriate for hotels, hospitals and design-driven offices. Soft-stop obstacle detection reverses the wings on contact, eliminating bumps and complaints.
Design, materials & build quality
Denia is the gate that interior architects request by name — the details are why. Single-piece brushed AISI 304 stainless-steel pylons with internal bracing and concealed cabling. Full-height 10 mm tempered glass wings for an uninterrupted, museum-quality line. Hidden cabling and recessed sensors deliver an architect-grade aesthetic with no visible wires. Anti-fingerprint surface treatment keeps the pylons looking new with minimal cleaning. RAL powder-coat finish across the full RAL palette — matt, satin or gloss as specified.
Customisation & branding
Denia turns the entrance into a permanent brand statement — every member sees it twice a day, every day. Glass-wing logo printing with UV-stable ceramic ink: company logo, slogan or full graphic, applied to the wing surface. Frosted glass detailing for subtler branding or privacy effects. RAL pylons in any colour — matched to interior, brand or franchise palette. Configurable LED scenes: brand colours by day, ambient amber overnight, special events on demand. Custom decals and pictograms in your language and corporate font, supplied as standard.
Integration & access control
Denia is fully open — your access-control choices today won't lock you out tomorrow. Open hardware interface: dry contact, RS485, Wiegand 26/34 standard; TCP/IP and OSDP optional. Universal reader compatibility: Mifare DESFire, EM 125 kHz, Bluetooth Low Energy, QR and biometric readers. Pre-built integrations with leading Nordic gym-management and corporate access platforms. Fail-safe fire-alarm integration: wings retract automatically and remain open until reset. Open API and event streaming for occupancy reporting, peak-time analytics and BMS integration.
Operating environment & durability
Denia is engineered for premium indoor entrances and covered semi-outdoor lobbies. IP54 protection handles wet floors, accidental spills and aggressive cleaning chemicals. Operating temperature -10 °C to +55 °C; optional heater package extends the range to -50 °C. Vibration-tested chassis survives carry-on luggage, scooters and shopping trolleys. Sealed electronics enclosure protects the controller from dust and condensation. UV-stable powder coat retains colour even in sunlit lobbies.
Reliability, service life & support
Denia is engineered, manufactured and supported around a single number — uptime. 5 million-cycle mechanical service life — well over a decade of continuous use in a busy club. 2-year manufacturer warranty as standard, extendable to 5 years with a Gatech service contract. Remote diagnostics — fault codes, self-tests and resets handled without site visits. Spare-parts stock in our European warehouse with next-day delivery across the Nordics and EU. Field-engineer training available for facility teams that handle Tier-1 service in-house.
